Founded by Nicholas Inman and Hayden Pyle in the fall of 2023, the Ozark Mountain Symphony strives to provide orchestral music opportunities to the region surrounding the South Central region of Missouri. The debut performance of the OMS was at the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival in April under the direction of Mr. Micah Williams, a rising pianist, conductor, and arranger from Gainesville, MO. The performance literature consisted of patriotic, classical, and church music arranged for full orchestra, and was well-received by the community and attendees of the festival.
The symphony recently performed a Christmas Concert on December 8th, 2024 at the Marshfield High School auditorium, under the direction of Hayden Pyle. Literature included a Mendelssohn brass arrangement, hymn arrangements for strings and woodwind choir, Gustav Holst's Christmas Day followed by an excerpt from Finlandia, and the concert ended with a Christmas carol sing-along medley!
